Sales Management
This app pack is a great starting point to build a Sales CRM or Lead Management system on Podio that supports your unique business workflow.
This pack includes pre-built apps for contacts, companies, deals, agreements (to be integrated with RightSignature), reports, and materials. These apps give you everything you need to get started with a Sales CRM to track your teams deals and close them with ease. And with the flexibility of Podio, you can make just about any customization or workflow automation you need to support your business workflow now and into the future.
If you install this App Pack into an organization licensed with Podio Premium, you can also install the related Podio Workflow Automation flows. To install the flows, you will need to refresh within your Podio Workflow Automation (PWA) console. Note that you must refresh PWA after installing the app pack, and before making any modifications to any app in the pack. If you make any changes to apps before refreshing in PWA, the flows for that app will not install. If you intend to use the electronic signature capability included in the Agreements app, it is recommended to have your RightSignature integration with PWA already configured before you install the flows.
If you want the workflow automations but have installed this pack into a workspace that is within a Podio organization on Podio Free, Podio Basic, or Podio Advanced, you must upgrade your Podio organization to Podio Premium first, and then reinstall the app pack.

If there are many sales people and leads, how can the leads be protected from each other except perhaps from the sales manager?
I have the same question, Phyllis... I would like to know if (and how) access to certain companies (leads, customers, etc) can be restricted so one salesperson cannot see the other salesperson's leads, etc.
Hi Phyllis and Perry, currently individual leads can be shared via ItemShare to specific sales people. You can find more information here: https://help.podio.com/entries/22504301-Sharing-a-single-item-Podio-Share
That's good if you want to share leads with others. That wasn't my question. I am a sales manager and I want to see all of my salespeople's leads and associated info. I do not want the other sales people to see each other's information. This is to keep salespeople honest and not poaching other's leads.
Hi Phyllis, when you share an item with a sales person that person will actually only get access to that particular item - unless the person is already a member of the workspace. You could even use the special setting for the "contact field" to give access to people outside the workspace when they are added as responsible/owner. That way you would always be able to keep the perfect overview while sales people could not access each other's leads. However, the overview for the individual sales person will quickly get messy with shared items. We currently don't have a perfect solution for this.
Depending on the number of sales people you have, it could be worth considering one workspace per sales person. In each workspace you would have one app with only the leads for that particular sales person. You could then add a saved app view or report from each app to your personal home to have an overview of all sales people's lead pipeline. If you want to keep one central CRM app, then a bit of data duplication will not be avoidable. You would still set up one workspace each with a leads app but you would link that leads up back to your central CRM app. On top you will need to share the lead via ItemShare every time you link a lead up. That way, the sales person can take advantage of having all their leads in an app while only accessing the underlying information for that particular lead - and you keep one central CRM.
Hello, It doesnt appear that on the Excel import I can bring multiple contacts into the same company. Do you have an tips for doing so? I have tried toggling the key and they either dont import or I get the company multiple times imported with the individual contacts. Thanks.

Hi, I need tracking my quotation inside PODIO, does it possible?
Hello, where do i change the currency from USD to DKK?
Here's a guide Daniel: https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/articles/201020208-How-do-I-change-the-currency-in-an-app-
You can click "Modify template" to change the currency of the Money field.
Hello! I need to view and export all the contacts info but i cannot find how. If i export the excel file from 'company' i get only the names and not the mail/phone/etc etc. can someone help me?
Hi Chiara! Yes - let us know in support via support@podio.com or using this link https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and we can assist you setting this up :)
How will this work if there are separate product lines with separate teams for each.
You could then install the app pack in different workspaces if you like to separate the Sales by Product Group - or consider to add a category field to the Deals and Companies app defining the product. Here's how you can modify the app template with categories: https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/articles/201019578-Modifying-an-app
Sara, or someone, I need to solve a quesiton regarding the usage of projects, in any o the apps or projects available. I use 6 work areas, where one of them is our main administration center, and the other 5 are for the specific development areas of our services. Then I was thinking to use projects app in the main administrtion center, and asign projects with their contacts and other info to each work area, depending on the type of service. But I haven't been able to find a way to do that linkage or assignation. For example using the main tasks, I can asign tasks to projects settled in one of the work areas, but what I want is to have one single projects app in the main administration work area, then make the whole list of projects there, and then been able to see the specific projects on each individual work area, that had been asigned to them, so they can administrate their tasks, but always have a central view of all work done here... can someone help please?
The best channel is probably to reach out to support@podio.com or help.podio.com "Contact support" :) Then we can assist!
Have you seen you can link apps together using the relationship field: https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/articles/201019288-Relationships?
Is there any way to integrate this to an autoresponder (Mailchimp, infusionsoft and/or Get Response) so I know how often the customer is receiving and/or opening emails we send?
Hello. I am wondering the advantage is of the "Contacts of the Workspace" used by this Sales Management Pack, in comparison to CRM & Lead Management. It opens contacts in a new window and I can't change the fields or add new fields. But maybe there is an advantage to this application that I'm not seeing?
Thanks in advance!
Workspace contacts are stored locally in the workspace, in the CRM and Lead management page we use an app for contacts that can be shared if you need to link contacts across workspaces using a relationship field: https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/articles/201019288-Relationships
Is there a way to get reports per quarter?
I doesn't seem like there's an option to make a report per 90 days, so maybe there's a way to get a report of an report?
Only if you do a custom filter on dates for the quarter you are looking at, great input though for improvement of the report functionality.
How to remove an installed pack?
Here is a guide: https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/articles/201019598-Deleting-an-app
I'm in solar and the installer shares the projects with me. Is there anyway for me to have those projects created into my own company's sales management section and have it update automatically from what the installer shares with me so I can create the deals for my individual sales reps?
Hi Taylor, if I understand your question, you should be able to automatically create a project in your own apps: https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us/articles/204366037-Advanced-workflows - however this only works if the apps are located in the same organisation (company). You are not able to create workflows across organisations.
Hey Sara, the apps are located in different organizations. So I am trying to find a solution to have those automatically update in a CRM or in podio elsewhere to share with my sales reps.
How can i define products and prepare proforma invoice for specific potential customer i am defining
Hi I have, set my currency to Sterling in both my deal value and closing deal value. I have unticked the Dollar box as it is not relevant. However in my activity tiles and on the reports it still shows as dollars. I have been into modify template and changed to sterling but still shows as Dollars. Can you assist?
Thanks for sharing Spender, sounds like a bug we can help fix. Could you forward issue to our technical team for assistance? Go to https://help.podio.com/hc/en-us and click "Contact support" to get in touch and we will be happy to assist.
Sorry, Spencer!
Hi, I just read your help center article about an update of this pack. The article mentions an agreements app and a reports app with workflow automations, but neither is available in this pack.
Hi Bavo, if you install the app now it should be available? It was a recent release updating the app pack.
Hi Sara, no, it's still the old pack. Maybe it's somehow not yet available in my country?
We're investigating - seems to be a bug with our new/upcoming UI - thanks for reporting!
you're welcome, thanks to you and Bill for helping out!
Hi Bavo, since we released our new UI it should now be available for you if you are using new UI - can you confirm if you can see updated pack?
hi Sara, I can still only see 3 apps, tested it in 2 browsers and on my phone
